 Sabertooth Games has announced the release of the Warhammer 40,000 CCG 2nd Edition: This product will offer fans of Warhammer 40,000 an opportunity to experience and participate in the foundation story for the entire 40K universe. While the Horus Heresy has been touched on in other products, this is the first time that players will see the full depth of this defining moment in the history of the Warhammer 40,000 universe.Since Games Workshop hasn't explored the Horus Heresy in-depth, the Sabertooth Games' design staff will be working closely with the GW studio. The CCG will profoundly influence the development of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The Horus Heresy is a second edition of the original 40K CCG game, and not a new game in itself. Warhammer 40,000 CCG 2nd Edition: The Horus Heresy features the same groundbreaking design and fast-paced rules as the original 40K CCG game, enhanced by a year and a half of extensive analysis and feedback from fans. Sabertooth has been listening intently to player input and the Warhammer 40,000 CCG will be even better with the advent of the 2nd Edition. In addition, Warhammer 40,000 CCG 1st Edition cards will be compatible with Warhammer 40,000 CCG 2nd Edition: The Horus Heresy cards. Players can mix these cards together in their own home and tournament play. Since the focus of the Heresy was the titanic struggle between the Emperor and Horus, 2nd edition cards will focus on the Imperial and Chaos forces, as well as the numerous groups who have yet to declare for one side or the other. Although STG-sponsored events (for example, at conventions) will be exclusively for Warhammer 40,000 CCG 2nd Edition: The Horus Heresy, they will continue to sanction all types of tournaments (Warhammer 40,000 CCG 1st Edition and Warhammer 40,000 CCG 2nd Edition: The Horus Heresy). And veteran fans of the Warhammer 40,000 CCG will keep all of the perks that they have built up during their time playing the Warhammer 40,000 CCG-this includes (among other things) rank and Imperial Credits.
